Eureka, UT - Gold Mine Ravens - May 2017
A photography / birding excursion with several friends from around the country in May 2017 found us standing in the remains of an abandoned gold mine in Eureka, Utah, population 700 give or take a few.
Once we’d spent a few minutes in the building the soft noises some young Ravens were making in the eave of the building caught our attention and the parents calling in the distance elicited more vocalization from the youngsters, very cool!
Here’s a brief video showing the interior of the building with the open roof and Raven nest.
